Possible disease identification?

I received some TC plants a few months ago from a private source (which have been kept indoors for the winter), and I'm not experienced enough to know for sure, but I think one of the varieties was diseased (black spots on the petiole). By the time the plants were big enough to see this, I also had aphids - which I killed with insecticidal soap, but I can assume that any possible disease has already been transmitted to my other TC starts (multiple varieties).

I'd like to find out if I'm really facing disease (and which one) before facing a decision about what to do with these plants

I've googled, but haven't found a really good source of pictures of different banana diseases. Can anyone recommend an image-based disease identification list I could use?

Notes: This is my first post with attempted pictures, so if you can't see 2 photos here, please feel free to give me hints on how to attach them from my gallery

Notes: All three of the worst affected plants are of the same variety, which means that if it is disease, that is patient zero; or all three are the most susceptible to whatever is causing the discoloration (cold, etc). I'd post pictures of all 24 plants, but they are looking a little sickly after the insecticidal soap dip, and I need to wait for new leaves.

Thank you,
Keith

Hey Keith,

All you have to do is copy and paste the image code like this.

They look to wet to me, ie root rot. You have to grow tc plants slowly then they take off.

On the plus side, the newest leaf that is emerging looks good.

Re: Possible disease identification?

I don't think you will find any useful information by researching banana diseases. Young tissue cultured plants are susceptible to all sorts of mild infections from microbes that would not normally cause disease, it could be something like that or some physiological reaction of that variety to the conditions it is in. TC plants are very weak at first, but as they grow they will get stronger. If the plants are still growing they should be fine, just make sure not to keep the humidity too high as this will promote the pathogens. TC plants only need to be kept in high humidity for 1-2 weeks after they come out of the vessels, after that they should be hardened off by taking them out of high humidity and allowed to get tougher.

Are the plants in a window? Maybe they got too cold.
