Default It looks like a flag! Its gotta be...right?
What else could it be? This is a dwarf red banana I moved into our Jungle room for the winter. I went to water it yesterday and found this!

I about peed my pants with excitement!



This is why we call it the jungle room. That's Stanley & Mario. Yeah, I wish the ceiling was taller too!

It doesnt look like the flag pics I've seen. At first I thought it was just a regular leaf that was unrolling funny.

LOL. I have several plants. The "false flag" is definitely a red. The one behind the boys is, I believe, an Orinoco? Different pics/plants.

This is why I love reading this forum. See, I always assumed it was a red, because it was red. Now I know it's a "Maurelil". Which, is kinda red. :-P

After reading the links above, I also now know that it's fruits are "dry and unpalatable". Well dang it, I want bananas! Guess I will be cultivating something with edible fruit. It is pretty though...
