Killing a High Color Mini

I bought a high color mini last week, and it looks bad. The edges of the leaves are a little yellowish, and it hasn't grown any. I have fertilized it, just a tiny bit. Was hoping to see improvement this week. Have the soil set up to drain well in the pot. Have it in mostly shade; I've been afraid to put it in full sun yet. Any ideas?

What kind of soil did you plant it in?

Half regular Miracle Grow potting soil (Not Moisture Control). Half perlite. Pottery shards in the bottom topped with gravel then the mixture.

One week is hardly enough to see any big changes. Just be patient.
