Ice cream/Namwah Pups Front Landscape.

Hello Gang;

Today was working on the front landscape & decided to pot up 2 Ice/Namwah Pups & place them in the front of my home to accent the Canary Palm.

I didnt think that Bananas where good for front Landscaps, but after placing them , i really like the look of the pups ! :0517:..

Thanks Ed..[IMG][/IMG]

From the looks of things, they're getting close to maximum "happy" size, though you should be able to get away with the current size pot at least over winter if you don't mind stunted/slow growth.
I tend to keep my "up for adoption" plants pretty well choked down in undersize pots just to keep them from getting too big to handle (fit in a car) easily.

Thanks for the great advise Bob !..

The pots looked big in HD , buy once i got home and saw my pups it all changed ..

They will be in there only over the winter & then i will plant them in the ground come spring ;)..

Thanks for viewing ... cant wait to my 3640 gets that size :08:

It's a fruiting banana, not an ornamental plant. You'll need to adjust your thinking.

Ain't that the truth.. If its a tall namwah it will dominate that space whether you want it to or not.. :^)

Its just a temp thing , ill plant it in the ground when that time comes..
Just having fun with landscaping ideas , if it works it works and if it dont , no problem its an easy fix .

and no need to adjust my way of thinking , its my property i will experiment with Fruiting /ornamental plant's as i wish..:waving:

Thanks for viewing ..

Not trying to tell you what to do, just saying you could end up w/ something like this on both sides of your CIDP come next fall is all.. :^)

btw I think it would look really good like that.. the way you have the plants placed.. but your going to have fun pulling pups to keep the mats in check. :^)

This mat is in S. Ark., and we'll see how it fares.
