Bread fruit is a favorite of mine, although I have never eaten it cooked as a sweet dish. I simply roast them over an open fire. Good stuff

Tried it once, wasn't fresh or it would have been good :ha:

Btw why do people cook them in their over anyway?? Seems to me the whole experience is dampened when you use the oven. I guess maybe if they don't have a yard to do a campfire?

Could be. I think part of it, is not knowing how good it is if cooked over a campfire. They can also be done on a grill, which is a nice option thst comes close. Most people have never tried it. I never had it till I tried it about 10 years ago.

It's too bad they are so sensitive to the cold or I would be growing several.
