Guidance Please: Bent Pseudostem
I am located in coastal Southern California, where Bananas grow slowly. Winds from Tropical Storm Hilary bent an Hawaiian Apple at 7 ft level (still attached). Primary pup is on the right in the picture. I welcome suggestions for best course of action.

Cut it off at the bend, it should grow back.

Just like the other members said cut it off at the bend and the next leaf will push through the center ......probably before you finish a cup of coffee.
We quite frequently cut our plants to make them smaller to ship to one another your plant will sort itself out in a month or so. ![]() New leaf by Hostafarian, on Flickr |
