Guano
 

Any of you organic gardeners ever use sea gull or bat guano? I was thinking about trying some this year . Do you think it's worth buying when I already use 100% organic soil? Also while we are on the subject. Any suggestions on the best Nana fertilizer should I decide to add a little for a boost. I've read about the Stokes stuff, anything else? Thanx--Nate:doggyandnaner:

Here are the N-P-K percentages of composted guanos

You choose something where the N is high, the P is low, and the K is high.

hey nate! you can use shredded green food to give them a boost. like shredded cabbage and torn up fresh spinach. any leafy green veggie would be good.

Thanks, Richard, so what would you recommend for organic bananas? I know you say a high potassium number, but it seems hard to find that. I don't want to kill my beneficial worms and organisms. Some parts of my garden are crawling with worms.

I have plenty of compost here. I also have some organic lawn fertilizer 8-2-4. In edition worm castings and bat guano. My bananas are starting to look a little yellow. I think they need a boost. :02:
