Flag leaf on 4ft dwarf Brazilian
 

I have a 4’ DB in a half wine barrel that has just put out a flag leaf 😳
This plant is 2 years old as is the other DB I put in the ground that is currently fruiting at 9’ tall.
I’m just curious if anyone has had a DB fruit at only 4’ and why did the in ground one not fruit until 9’
I’m in zone 9b Northern California east bay

Potted banana plants will fruit at shorter heights and they grow slower. But 4 feet is very short for that variety. You will probably only get one or two very small hands of fruit. Please keep us posted.

Here in the UK I'd take one or two hands from any of my musa, I've tried showing them all Cavendish from the supermarket but none of them are getting the hint!!!
