Bought the miracle-Gro "WATERING CAN SINGLES" today, it is a water soluble plant food, 24-8-16. Anyone used this before and should it be a good choice for Basjoo's?

That's a good formula for ornamental bananas; and also for citrus, avocados, guavas, and other subtropical fruits. Buying it in "singles" might be economical for one plant. Beyond that, look for fertilizers in with the same N-P-K profile of High-Low-Medium but with a better $/lb cost.
