The fingers on my Raja Puri are getting blackened by the cold. Should I cover the bunch?

A bunch cover will keep the bunch warmer.

Will a burlap sack work? I don't have access to bunch covers here.

In my experience once the damage is done there is nothing that will save them.

Some of the fingers have only been blackened a bit on the top. The damage appears to only be superficial. I might as well cover them to protect the undamaged ones.

Thanks. I haven't had any frosts yet this year, and I didn't have any last year either. I think the damage is from consistent cold temperatures rather than actual frosts. The leaves aren't suffering from any frost damage. I left the Rajapuri unprotected last year when it was a lot smaller and it did just fine.
