Cannibalism?

Hello all,
I have heard that banana skins cut up and left in a bottle of water will rot and produce a potassium rich feed which i can give modestly to my basjoo.
Has anyone tried it? It seems to me to be a good idea in principle if I can stomach the cannibalism.
I'd be grateful for anyone's thoughts.

Just chop up the skins, leaves, and pstem and spread around the mat. ... Hard wood ashes are a good source too.

toss some grass clippings, tree leaves and it in 5 gallon bucket. should give you a good concoction.

I have made some in the past and it does work.
I think cannibalism is ok as long as you can dip it in ranch dressing.

Use a whole box of 24 count family size Luzianne tea bags and about 5 cups of sugar. ... I like mine with ice please.
