Brian's Botanicals

Has anyone ordered from them? They have some neat plants-anyone tried Alocasia "Brian Williams"?
I know someone from there sometimes participates here.
I have a big complaint with their site though- super slow loading in the online-store pages. I was getting a possible order and it took like 45 minutes to browse the site and add like 4 items to the cart.....
Makes it hard to shop.

I have ordered many things from Brian. He always does me great. The plants are big. I never lost a plant from Brian. There was a mix up in one of my orders he sent me a bunch of things plus what I was shorted on. I beleve he is a member here. He has a ebay store. He is also a member of davesgarden.com. You will not be sorry with getting things from Brian.

I never ordered from his website only off ebay.

Here is his listing on davesgarden.com
The scoop on 'Brian's Botanicals'

I wouldn't waste 45 minutes shopping online... I'm bad enough in a real store..(get it your stuff & Goooo!) I'd call the his business line and do a direct order hopefully be done in < 5 min. :^) OR like greg said just do the ebay thing :^)

Re: Brian's Botanicals

I don't mind the online thing- we ship hundreds of orders a year. But I need the site to see what they have selection and information-wise, and even that takes a really long time. Can't understand why either since the pages don't seem "huge" with lots of pics or anything. Something strange with the shopping cart they're running.
Anyone else noticed the slowness? could it be my computer?

At the moment the Ebay listings are much much more limited than the online store...

I have dealt with Brian's Botanicals for years. I always have received great plants and he has a very good selection. When I have a special request he always has been super responsive. Shop without concern at his site or with eBay.

I definitely plan to order a few things this year... I hope they get the site working better though, or add more listings to ebay.

I've known Brian for many years through the International Aroid Society. He's a great collector, breeder, hybridizer, a very nice person, and well thought of in Aroid circles.

I hope they get more up on ebay by the time I'm ready to order. We're a small business too, and did the website in-house. Hopefully Brian's can get a good site together- it's not really all that complicated and once it's up, it's much easier than Ebay (less cost as well).

they added a few items since last time too...
Great!

Re: Brian's Botanicals

He probably doesn't have much on eBay because it's still to cold to ship plants anywhere. Still in the 30s in KY, where he lives.

I bought some Alocasia Gigantea's from Brian last summer and was pleased with our buisness dealings, and the plants were shipped in great shape. I would not hessitate to buy from him again. Hope this helps
