Blood leaf banana fertilzer?
Hello everyone! I live in Waterford which is in Southeastern Michigan and soon will be taking my Blood leaf banana outside to plant after overwintering it inside! Do you have an interest in Blood leafs! Last summer was the beginning of a good relationship! Living in Southeastern Mich. had to dig it up and overwinter inside! Just about ready to take it back out and plant it. I saw these growing and stopped in a person's home to inquire! The lady was in need of help planting and she told me if I could help she would give me pups! I was elated Have any suggestions as to the type of fertilizer to put in the hole before placing the blood leaf in the ground? Also if anyone is interested I grow the Bajoos outside and cover them with two feet of wood chips during the winter and have had good luck with that now for 9 years! They do not have time to bare fruit but they get 10 feet tall and look great by the pool! Thanks for your response!...Billlearjet

Re: Blood leaf banana fertilzer?
Compost and EWC and a little azomite if ya got them is all I would give them untill you see new growth .... Then you can use 10-10-10 or whatever you have they are not picky.... Look around here there are some specific banana ferts sold I have never noticed enough difference to justify the price.....
