Hello everyone,
I have consulted Jarred about having a merchandise store. It is 'on the back burner' really at the moment. But still it would be a good thing to:
1) Advertise the site,
2) Just show it off!, and
3) Make this site more complete.
IMHO.

I would like some other fellow members to jump on the Bandwagon on supporting this idea! It would be a good addition.

CafePress is a trustworthy site, and the International Banana Society could do this too, as long as people would actually buy the stuff. Take a look see.

What do you all think about the idea? Give feedback please.

I'm still happy with this, but one can never have enough T-shirts! I'd like to have on with the real logo on it.

I never got one of those, I almost did, but he never replied to my PM that sortof confirmed the sale.

I think this is a good idea, but I have seen better the quality of printing from a local print shop over cafepress. I used to have a cafepress shop and always pre-bought everything I wanted to sell. The T-shirts are nice and hold up better than the sweatshirts. The sweatshirts really shrink. The printing is ok. It doesn't peel, but it does fade after 10 or so washes. After the initial fading the shirts hold the quality of the picture. I haven't tried any of the hardgoods (ie mugs, mousepads, ect), but I don't see a problem with trying, I would still buy one. :)

Just to clarify,
There was a member here that was making these shirts. We really had very little to do with them nor did we make anything off of the few sales that were made. I even had to pay for mine!

The shop is a good idea, and I'm glad to see the support for the idea.

I'll set up a cafepress shop shortly and update the thread when its ready for everyone.

I think the store is a great idea! I thought it would be neat to have a static cling thing for the car that says "International Banana Society".

Speaking of tv.. Did anyone catch the Bill Engvall show ?
He has a really small banana plant next to the coffee pot in his office.

I'm all ready to shop. I could wear my thong while laying in the hammock, sipping from a mug. And I'd do the neighbors a favor and wear the t shirt. :)
