Activated charcoal in container Mahoi Double

Hi I am new to growing. I am wondering has anyone ever used activated charcoal in their pots when growing Mahoi Double Bananas. Or does anyone know if activated charcoal will hurt or kill my plants. Any help with growing these bananas.

It works.
Charcoal goes by many names as you will notice.
I use it in some of the mix's I make.
A youtube search will reveal many great DIY mixs you can make with charcoal as an ingredient.
