Musa Santa Morelli

I am in need of some advice. I purchased today a Musa Santa Morelli Pictured below i know nothing of the variety except that it will only grow 1-2 metres in height and needs some winter protection. It is almost like a ensete maurellii. The mid rib of the leaves has a curve to the left or right as well. I would be greatful of any information of this variety. Thanks in advance

Mark,

There appears to be a lot of that practice around in the UK. whether its genuine ignorance or a deliberate attempt to con the public i dont know but the practice is certainly on the increase.

changing names to confuse the ancient lol should be met with the stiffest of rebukes from the authorities as far as I'm concerned its bad enough for people to try to learn to garden in an age when not that many do any more sucks!

But on a better note its a beautiful specimen

yup, another ebay.co.uk stitch up.
A bit like Musa Tandarra Red which is also Ensete Maurellii. a number of large nurseries in the UK are selling under that name. very tempting to get UK trading standards dept. on to them. If in doubt check reference info before purchase. or just post on here, we'll sort you out.
