Too late to plant banana in DFW?

I'm thinking about planting a banana in the next week or two. Do you think it would survive or should I just wait until springtime?

You will need to wait until all danger of frost has passed before it is safe to put it in the ground.

Next spring is the way to go with your zone. And if your last frost is about the same as mine, it'll be April 1st - April 15th, though for you it could be a bit later than that even (depends on how close you are to that 7b zone).

like JCDerrick says, around april. if the weather looks good long term also (no frost) you can plant them outside.
