Overwinter Musa Basjoo

Apologize if this topic has already been covered. I started to grow my first banana this summer, Musa Basjoo. I am in CT, zone 5/6

I currently have the plant in a container and plan on bringing inside at least for this year. Last night, the temps got down to about 40. When should I bring this plant indoors?

Also how do I prep it for winter storage? Planning to store in crawl space

Overwinter

Are you able to keep the plant in a cool garage to keep it in a container?

Actually , once the plant goes dormant you may put the whole thing container and all under the house.
Won't fit ......cut it down, you will still be good.
