Musa Sikkmensis
These are still just babies, grow from seed this spring, but getting bigger. Amazing out of 200 seeds, i got 11 plants...lol!
![]() Still cheaper then buying 11 plants i guess/and more enjoyable. |
Re: Musa Sikkmensis
I hope you took the seeds that didn't germinate and re-sowed them somewhere in your garden.
This year I have had 15 or 20 different seeds germinate in soil I've reused elsewhere after going through a winter outside (zone 9) exposed to the wet/dry, hot/cold of good old mother nature. The next seeds I get that don't germinate are all going to be put through a pseudowinter cycle in the fridge and then back into baggies for another go at germinating. Good luck with your plants. Re: Musa Sikkmensis
You have had better luck than me with M. sikkimensis, Frank, LOL! I finally germinated my first one last weekend, and it only took about 6 months. 1 out of 50 for me. Funny thing was, it was a control group that I had in room temperature for about 5 months, then placed in the growth chamber with some other seeds at 10 hrs. @ 90F & 14 hrs. @ 60F. Took it 2 weeks after moving it to sprout.
Good luck with your babies! Frank |
