I've planted some smaller than those. Super Dwarf Cavendish. I don't recall how tall they get but it can't be more than 3 feet I think.

My goal in hybridizing new Super-Duper Micro Mini Dwarf Dwarfs would be that you will need a magnifying glass to actually see the plant, and that the fruit will be like ant eggs.

You are mistaking.
It is not white fly it is trialeurode vaporariorum.
We don't have white flies around here :03::03:

I had five mats of these Super-Duper Micro Mini Dwarf Dwarfs but I lost them. In fact I forgot in what part of my garden I planted them :woohoonaner:

Now guys, let's speak seriously.


You have the same idea as mine : cavendish group.
The problem is that these plants are supposed to be Dwarf brazilian .
When I got them I called immediately the seller which is obviously an honnest and serious person.
He kindly told me that they are tissue cultures from........Agristarts !
According to him they are DB and they have this SDC-DC-C-TT red color because they are young and they will change back to the DB norm when they will be bigger......


Now the new questions are :

1) Who, on the board, has ever seen a TC of dwarf brazilian ?
2) Does it looks like those ones ?

Hi Phil,

I haven't seen a TC of Dwarf Brazilian, but when I look into the banana and color of leafes it surely says that it is not a pure cavendish. The seller is right; when banana grows it will show variety tags. Maybe a Tissue cultured banana shows some indications later?

I am just guessing, as I said, I don't have large experience with TC bananas.

Those pics look just like my little DB (hopefully it's a DB!) did a couple of months ago. Lots of splotches on the leaves, with a rosy tint on the undersides. When I first got it, I was actually worried it was a Zebrina because of all the color. It has since grown very vigorously and toned down the colors, though, so I'm pretty sure it is DB.

Pics look similar to my dwarf brazilian. Most varieties that have red blotches will lose this trait when they get more mature.
