Lighting for wintering indoors.
I was considering growing my plants indoor. Wondering if anyone has used sodium or halide for bannanas.Total canopy area would be around 50 sq ft.They would be grown in soiless mix.Any thoughts on water and fertilizer amounts? Thanks,Dave.

Light water and fert for me. For me keeping them under lights in the winter is just holding them over till spring. I do not expect incredible growth. There are countless threads in these forums which I got some of my info. Youtube is a good source for setups and DYI stuff. I made some dyi stuff last year that worked out well using bathroom lightbars and 16 100 watt daylight cfls. Cfls are more cost effective for me. You will invest more money with a metal halide or sodium setup. |
Re: Lighting for wintering indoors.
Thanks for the input.CFLs are the way togo as I just want to maintain, with minimal growth.Moneywise halides and sodium are energy pigs. If money was no problem I would go that route. Looks like Im off on the cfl trail .Thanks
