Hello All,

New on here...Have lotsa musas in ground for several years...just bought these today and have no idea what they are...No tags etc... Thanks.

I think it might be Musella lasiocarpa. It's not a fruiting type.

On these, I have never done so since I just purchased these yesterday. As for my musas and Dwarf cavendishes, yes, i keep them trimmed for various reasons. Some of my musas I trim to make them more tree-like and tall. The Dwarf Cavendish , same thing. However, I have musas in the front of my house that I prefer to keep more squat and bush-like so I leave the leaves on. Just a matter of taste I guess.

You shouldn't cut off anything that's green. Only cut off yellow and brown.

I don't cut my leaves of till I am sure they are dead. If they are still providing energy I leave them on.
