Hello! At me such question. What differences Musa Sikkmensis from Musa Sikkmensis ' Darjeeling Giant ' and from Musa Sikkimensis red tiger, manipur? These are wild forms or they have turned out by crossing?

Re: Musa Sikkmensis forms.

It is difficult to say if the forms are different. Seed companies make up the names, they are not based on any scientific research. This does not mean the plants may not be different, but since they are not grown by many people the only way to know for sure is to grow them together and try to find significant differences for yourself. In the wild, there are different forms of M. sikkimensis, but only 1 has a official name, which is normal Musa sikkimensis. Perhaps in a few years, some of the other forms might be published.

And here a photo of seeds which I have bought from our supplier under name Musa Sikkmensis Darjeeling Giant. They on the size it is less, than usual seeds Musa Sikkmensis. To plant 9 months. Seeds Musa Sikkmensis Darjeeling Giant still have not started to grow.
But I have compared the sikkimensis with Musa sikkimensis in botanical to a garden. And they have seemed to me different. Distinctions in a wax covering and color stem. Musa sikkimensis from a botanical garden has a wax covering much more than at mine Musa sikkimensis. On what the quantity of a wax covering can depend?
