ID please,
This came in with a large number of basjoo from Holland and was labelled as basjoo, Definatly not basjoo, any ideas?

Looks similar to an Orinoco but seems to have some red in the pseudostem and maybe not as waxy. Could just be the picture.

Hi Gabe,
Of corse you are right, i dont think il get a possitive ID, so i will just be happy with trying to narrow it down as to what it could be, i think Mark is on the right tracks, it does look to be an edible banana, but i dont think it is Chinni champa though, it isnt glaucus on the under side of the leaf, i dont know about orinoco though, i have never had that, Nat, there is red in the pseudostem particularly on the pups and the base of the main stem. |
