But, my banana never had any pigmentation. I was told that Basjoo usually have it... |
Re: Hello! What is this?
if U can take a picture of leaf and petiole it would be much more clear
|
Re: Hello! What is this?
Basjoo is normally completely green. The color is definitely right, but the green on the petioles might just be to lower lighting conditions.

Re: Hello! What is this?
Not Yunnanensis
|
Re: Hello! What is this?
OK, friends, Tanx a lot!!!!!
|
Re: Hello! What is this?
I vote basjoo also. I find my basjoos only have a purple midrib while young and when they get lots of light.

Re: Hello! What is this?
It's fun, but I completely forgot specie of my banana, and almost post new topic :)
but search is cool now I recall (total recall :)) - it's Musa basjoo |
Re: Hello! What is this?
Looks like Basjoo
|
Re: Hello! What is this?
Yes, I hope it is it
So I will try to put it into OG (open ground) - there is a little bit of time for it But i still didn't choose type of covering construction. |
Re: Hello! What is this?
Put a pic on of the Leaf petiole, it will help to identify it. Bajoo petioles are winged.
|
Re: Hello! What is this?
Not too long ago I cut banana-stem and now I have only small part of new leaf.
I will put it into winter-experience - and we will see cold-hardy is it or not :) |

|
Re: Hello! What is this?
You mean - to wait with transplantation?
But too late :) I've already did it :) About zone - every time I forget it. Russia for sure. Black sea. You can see on the map. |
