Newbie
Hey, totally new to growing bananas... or wanting to grow bananas.
Originally from northern Alberta, Canada. Moved to TX about 10 years ago. I miss growing berries, but I love everything else about gardening down here! |
Re: Newbie
Welcome and enjoy banana growing

Re: Newbie
You can still grow some berries but probably not of the goose genus. But the world of southern plants has become yours--seize it!
Do yourself a favor and update your profile to show where in Texas you live (check my profile info on the left to see what many other members and I have done). No, we're not scoping out your house to rob it but sharing that info means that members in your area/zone can give you specific info on your new journey and the rest of us will contribute less detailed advice. Another potential benefit is that someone nearby is clearing a mat...yippee! BTW, welcome. I lived there for 2 years...ages ago...I left TX when I was 4 but still remember the San Antonio Hanging Garden and the Zoo Train. |

Re: Newbie
You will find that there's berries that grow wild on your place whether you want them to or NOT!!!! Big, fat, juicy berries begging to be made into jam...... :D

Re: Newbie
We lost another one to the US... It's going to be easier for you to grow there!
