Thanks everyone for your friendly welcome. I'm from the Central Coast of NSW Australia on 15 acres of weathered sandstone, altitude 270 ft. Warm temperate climate with around 15-20 frosts per year. Pretty exposed to winds from all directions, hence the difficulty growing Bananas but I'm on track for my first crop within a year.
I'll post a photo of the fruit which is from a friend's place. It is a bit of a mystery variety but very firm fleshed and thinnish skins. All I know is that it is supposed to be a good cool climate type. Cheers Coachwood |
