I'm new to growing and now more confused than when I started looking.
Can anyone tell me what kind of banana I should plant in the midlands of SC?

Hello, Welcome & Happy Hunting.. I wouldn't worry about it for a month at least, but Namwah or D. Namwah no doubt.. If you like cooking banana's Orinoco as well.. :^)

Musa basjoo will definitely grow there without having to take it out over the winter.
