ISO PINEAPPLE Raja Puri near Tampa FL

growing the following on the coast, 2 miles north of Tarpon Springs, in order of acquisition: manzano, dwarf brazilian, namwah, truly tiny, abyssinian red ensete - not a musa so maybe it doesnt count, blood banana, patupi, tigua, variegated Florida, dwarf red, a NoID gift and Banjoo.
have had fruit from Manzano, Dwarf Brazilian and Namwah. Except for the first bunch of Manzano that I harvested hand by hand as they turned dark yellow, then ripened the remainder of the way indoors, I prefer the Dwarf Brazilian. tried the the dwarf red fruit when it was available at Walmart and I certainly hope that home grown is going to taste much better.
have been satisfied with success of applying composted cow manure every couple of months in growing season, oak leaf mulch and watering just about every day that we dont get rain during growing season.
