Hello from the Great White North Eh!
Hello All
Just starting some research to see if I can create a tropical oasis in my backyard The tricky part is - I live in Barrie, Ontario, Canada I see there are some members that are about an hour or two south of me, but I have not found any Banana people as far north as me Any tricks, tips, advice and or wisdom that you can pass on is appreciated I'm hoping to eventually have bananas that I can leave outside year round |

Welcome,
Zone 5a, want to leave plant outside. Sounds like you want a Musa Basjoo. No fruit with this one. I would try to get a pup or two or three and get them in the ground soon. Come winter, mulch, mulch, mulch. Lots of over wintering tips on this site. Great members that eat, drink, and sleep bananas. Mark |
