Re: Hello
Sounds like you own most of the state. With all of that I can't see how you have time to post pics. Good luck and welcome from central Florida.

Re: Hello
Is your name Brent or do you know a Brent in LA that grows dragon fruit? If you're not Brent, what varieties are you growing there and how do you protect them?
Welcome to "the org"! :) |

Nope I'm not Brent nor do I know him. I am growing a white flesh red skin and 2 red skin red flesh. During really cold weather they go under a sheet of plastic with a 100 watt light bulb.

Thanks in advance, and congratulations for being in the banana growing scene for so long! :D |
Re: Hello
The Orinoco's are very vigorous here getting at least 5 to 10 pups in each mat every year almost weedy like. I recently cut one mat to the ground 3 weeks layer I counted 17 plants coming up! They are not the dwarf variety.

Re: Hello
That's great! I'm not sure whether you live in a frost-free climate or not but as I don't I'm expecting mine to do really well throughout the year, and that's some insane puppage! I'm really hoping mine is a DO. How long do your Orinocos usually take to flower from pups?
