This link was interesting, but not for the list. The persons compiling the list were:
(1) David R. Constantine. An avid poster on the
Plant-TC newsgroup 10 years ago. At that time, he listed himself as owner: Constantine Consultancy and Agrotrading - A U.K. based horticultural consultancy specialising in plant propagation and plant tissue culture. This company and its web site appears to have vanished around 2002.
(2) Gerda Rossel. One of several editors who compiled anthropology monographs (collections of articles published as a book) for the school of Asian, African, and Amerindian Studies (CNWS) at University of Leiden about 10 years ago. It is unclear whether she was a faculty, graduate student, or staff member. She also had a book published in 1998 by CNWS titled "Taxonomic-Linguistic Study of Plantain in Africa" which discusses native words used for bananas in Africa. The book received an award in 2000 from
The Society for Economic Botany. This 1,000 member society is comprised mainly of anthropologists who study "the historical interaction of human beings and plants".
