It's a safety thing for areas for human habitation. .... if the heater is using up all the oxygen in the poly tunnel, then the heater is likely way too big for the area. ... My greenhouse (8ft X 10 ft x 8 ft at the peak) is poly covered too and I heat it with a 1500 watt electric heater ( about 5000 BTU/hr).
