Default Will this little guy bear edible fruit?

Hello all, this is my first post here, and I was wondering if it'd be at all possible to narrow down what kind of banana this is. A very nice lady came into my greenhouse a few weeks ago and dropped off a very beat-up looking banana tree in a bucket of mud. I've since got it to make some new growth, and I'm itching to know whether or not it will yield edible bananas. The new growth has a whitish powdery film on it that I can wipe off with my finger, and the leaves are heavily ribbed and rounded at the tips. Thank you in advance!
