Default Re: Who's growing Musa Itinerans?!

My friend Helton and I also growing Musa itinerans "Indian Form" with success in Brazil, in the state of São Pàulo, in Campina do Monte Alegre and in Lucianópolis.

Here the pics:

Huge Musa itinerans with fruits in the nursery of Helton in Campa do Monte Alegre on Oct. 22nd, 2012

One runner pup, some metres from the motherplant, Helton separated them on the next day and gave it me. I planted the pup at my pond in Lucianópolis

My Musa itinerans in my banana special garden at my pond in Lucianópolis, I got it as pups from Helton in the past year, they do make here well because of the half shadow and the moist soil close to the pond. Because of the possible running pups in the future I did not plant them too close to the border to my Japanese neighbour.

You see, that also Musa itinerans can grow in Brazil very well!!!

Best wishes
Joachim
