Thanks for the input. It seems that the plant is doing ok. A leaf has completed its growth and another sprout has begun although much slower than normal. I moved the plant to a larger pot due to the rumor of root crowding. I did not know whether this would've been a factor in a 20 inch pot but wasn't willing to take the chance since it may be another few weeks before I can put it in the ground. Thanks again
