As far as survival is concerned, you have nothing to worry about. As long as you have a substantial
piece of corm complete with a rising (pseudo-) stem, you have a viable plant. That is usually all
you get, when you separate a pup from the mother plant.

Transplanting, though, can be a problem, if it changes the plant environment to much. Adaptation can
take as long as a whole month, before it shows any positive growth, or it can take place with nary a
hick-up, if you can do it without disturbing the roots too much.

Summary: Unless you plan to keep your basjoo in the larger pot for quite some time, you may serve
it better to keep it in the smaller pot, until it is time for it to go into the ground, but feed it well.
