Description

Found in the wild in Indonesia, it is almost certainly a wild subspecies of Musa acuminata, such as M. acuminata ssp. zebrina or something similar. Since only one plant was found, it is not yet known whether this is a newly discovered distinct subspecies or a random variant on a previously described subspecies of Musa acuminata, field work needs to be done to detirmine its status.
