Keiki
A "Keiki" is a baby banana. The word "keiki" means "children" in Hawaiian. The word is usually referred to, and referenced, when speaking of pup grown from a mother plant. It is not common for a tissue cultured banana to be called "keiki", but there may be exceptions. Another, more proper, term for a baby banana sucker in the Hawaiian language is Huli.
Used in a Sentence
"This keiki should grow really fast and produce a lot of other keiki within the next year or so."
