Re: Is this a banana?
It kind of looks like this one that I have. This banana plant doesn't produce bananas. It did flower once. It pups like crazy. I think it is a Super Dwarf Cavendish.

Re: Is this a banana?
Its a supper dwarf cav, definitely not basjoo and also not a dwarf cav as the red splashes on leaves would still be seen at that height.

Re: Is this a banana?
Definitely a banana plant! Also, a great buy for the size of the plant. Most "variety" stores sell Dwarf Cavendish or Basjoo banana plant. At this stage, it's hard to tell. But with the absence...

Re: Potted Ice Cream banana question
I like the mantra from pitangadiego: green is good, brown is bad. If you don't like the brown, you can safely remove it. Removing the top of your Ice Cream will reduce the overall height of the...

Re: what's happening with my red dwarf ?
I've had my banana do that also in the past when small. I definitely think it has to do with the change in sunlight. The new leaves look even healthier than the old ones so I don't think it's a bad...

As with your plant as...

Re: Need some advise.
Its regrowing from center. It could've grown a pup as well. It looks like you have a leaf on that new growth that is still up the center of the old p-stem so be careful when trimming it down. :^)

Re: Towards an optimal Tomato food
Some folks asked for dosage information in the spreadsheet, so added that and called it: N-P-K_Mix_Analysis_v02.xls (http://www.plantsthatproduce.com/guides/N-P-K_Mix_Analysis_v02.xls).
As an...
