Very nice looking plants. I noticed that they are planted next to the house and fence. I'm assuming that they do better when planted next to some sort of barrier. Do you still have to protect them...

Yes, I've been growing Hua moa for some time now in South Florida. It is subject to nematodes but heavy mulching seems to help. Our Cuban friends say this makes THE BEST tostones and I agree.
