Looks like a great plant that has done well over the winter,

You may trim off expired leaves and repot and you will be fine.
Cutting the plant any further will not hurt either....you will just have...

Yes, be worried.
But it’s fixable. You’re mix isn’t lush enough for bananas they’re heavy feeders.
Add any compost top soil to the soil mix no more than an inch of water �� in containers....

Talked with a guy from Pakistan. He suggested planting corn around plants to shade them from the sun. I haven’t done it but it sounds interesting.

I would refrain from using coffee grounds unless they are fully composted first (allelopathic ). Last year 114 F temperatures and afternoon sunshine totally fried some of my banana and avocado...

Praying hands in a 15g pot. Just cut past the brown rot. South side of house, hand watered, 3' pstem.
Also in pic: little Raja Puri (somehow unscathed???) in ground. Starfruit seedling....
