Re: I've got nanners!

From what I gather it's the seeds that are inedible, they are so hard you chip a tooth. If you look up online there are a tons of seeds. If you can manage to separate the seeds I would be curious to...

Re: Ice cream ->flag leaf->fruit...then dead?

Flowering at 6 feet for a blue java...is that even possible? To be "underdeveloped" to that extent and get fruit to me would suggest maybe dwarf namwah? But I'm a relative noob as well just...

Re: When will my dwarf cavendish banana grow bigger leaves?

If the plant is healthy and properly fed, each leaf should be bigger than the last.

Re: Repotting

I personally wouldnt. Reason being it's easy to over water a plant in winter when it is in a large pot. The smaller the pot the better the drainage and the quicker it dries. I had a very bad...

Re: Grow light recommendations?

When you say keep soil damp...could you elaborate. That's my biggest problem with keeping plants dormant, I tend to over water, but in my mind I was keeping the soil damp.

Re: Grow light recommendations?

In my opinion t5's don't come in the ideal format making them expensive. They are the best when it comes to fluorescent though. As for metal halide....expensive....hot and inefficient. But that's...

If you use cfl's 6500k is for vegetative growth and ...

Re: Grow light recommendations?

I built my grow light. 8 x 23 watt cfl's (100 watt equivalent) gives me 800 watts of light. Watts isn't the best way to measure but it gives you a ballpark idea.

With that light through winter I was...
