Amorphophallus can rot if left in soil with too much moisture. I remove all soil from mine and let them sit/dry out all winter while they are dormant. I'm not sure what the potential for rotting is...

Steve....amorphophallus are not like typical plants. They do not 'grow' during their active phase (when they have leaves). They come up out of dormancy with the stem/group of leaflets fully formed...

Uncovered my basjoos the other day, not as happy as I would have hoped but these stumps look like they should put out some leaves. Either way pretty sure the roots are alive and will start from pups...
