Gingers look good. My favorite compainion plant for potted Musa is succulents, they have a really shollow root base so they don't choke the banana for water/space.

Sorry no photo of it in the day time, but it did have the recurved leaf base like in the close up. I can't remember if the other sikkimensis hybrids had that also, but they probably have that too....

looks a bit like Daj giant, but looks abit like all the sikkimensis hybrids(sikkimensisXparadisica, helens, balboa park and daj giant) nice looking one!

Puerto Vallarta Botanic Garden
During the summer, and early fall the jungle is really beautiful, and well watered due to the summer rains, that were heavier than ussual in 2008.
