Update as of April 13, 2020. Patupi seems to be about four to six weeks ahead of last years development at this point.

The original Patupi didn't make it. He got killed by the second low temp dip we had in January afer surviving the early November freeze. Thought he was going to make it. Dang it!!

UPDATE 2020 Season of my Nana Patches

I trimmed the small nana patch this morning to get ready for the 2020 season ... AND found a supersize bloom. Anyway these pics show how the plant died back after the Jan. 21 & 22 freeze to 27...

Any of the dwarf varsities should work for you. The Dwarf Orinoco would grow year round at the temps you listed. While most other dwf types will go dormant at temps below 50 deg. for the winter.

My Min-Pin can spot anything in the backyard that is messing around in the banana and mango areas. He runs straight to the critter and will kill it if hangs around. Greatest watchdog there...

I bag my bunches with giant clear trash bags from HD. Loosely tied at the top and open at the bottom. Squirrel was able to get into the top part of the bunch and made a mess of the top hand or two....
