Re: Home depot Blue java or Namwa?
The Blue Java I've tasted was amazing. The texture was incredible too. I was sure to acquire a clone of the plant they came from and I'm currently growing it. Maybe there are more than one Blue...

Veinte Cohol with Purple Coloration
I have a Veinte Cohol in one of my patches with a purple tint where the petioles meet the pstem. This coloration is unusual to me since I've never experienced this with any of my VCs in years past....

Re: Clarification of Agristarts "ICE CREAM" Banana
Piggybacking off of Ty- Ney Mannan is another subgroup used to classify 'Blue Java'. I learned recently there is still debate as to whether Ney Mannan is a legitimate subgroup in the ideal sense, or...

Re: Container PH Check
I'm curious to know what you're using to check the PH in the soils? Also, what is your method to lower/raise PH in your pots?

Re: Musa Basjoo out for winter and too much rain?
Hi Lovetogarden,
If it is in the ground, you should be fine as long as the soil drains and doesn't hold water for a long time.
If its in a pot, I would move it under an awning or something to get...

Re: Long, wide streaks on banana leaves
Looks to me like the pigment is just filling in from a new leaf that has just opened after it was rolled up. I do not grow the dwarf Cavendish but I get that on my other cultivars/varieties and looks...

Re: An Update Of My Latest Nana Plants 2018!
The Tu'u Ghia is disease resistant so does that include viruses like bunchy top? We don't have banana diseases in my region so I'm not versed but interested in learning and promoting awareness.

Re: small pup corms attached to mother corm
Like Edwmax advised, just put it in the ground. You don't need to knock any dirt off the corm. Mix some compost in the hole with the native soil, water in good and forget it until you see new...

Looks like possible slight potassium deficiency.
What is your potting soil?
How long has it been in the pot?
