I dont believe mine are Helen's Hybrid currently. I do have cheesmanii, sikkimensis red tiger, supposed thomsonii, sikkimensis and griersonii.

So mekong giant is a subtype of itinerans. Okay, but I thought yunnanensis was also quite tall, certainly taller than whats been labelled thomsonii. Im guessing that is just different subtypes also?

Interesting, do you think the musa thomsonii you had were the "real" thing? Given the size of mekong giant, theres alot of variation in musa yunnanensis subsets.

I have one identified here also as bluggoe, this lady is growing it and this one pictured above pretty much side by side. But the fruit is much smaller on the other one.
