I agree with Iowa ... commercial potting soil is OK ... with or without fertilizer. Some of the Dollar store brands do not have or has very little fertilizer.

Just mist the plant and move it out of the direct sun; just give it bright light. Only water the pot IF the bottom of the pot is near dry. Check the soil though the drain holes.

So how tall is the pstem? 5 ft to 8 ft is about the max. height the pstem will have.
