I live in Norway, and it seems Sikkimensis settle in the ground faster, and grow much better at cooler temperatures than Basjoo. But in terms of winter-hardiness basjoo...

I think as with basjoo, if the fruits are not pollinated they will not develop properly. Why is this? Perhaps when pollination occurs this sets in motion growth factors within the fruit...
